Responding to the growing passenger market from Taiwan, China Airlines announced it will fly direct from Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei to Mactan Cebu International Airport with six flights weekly starting 29 March 2020.

Taiwan’s national flag carrier will use the Boeing 737-800 aircraft that has 150 economy-class and eight in the business class.

Except on Tuesdays when then there are no flights, CI 705’s estimated time of departure from Taoyuan is 7:40 a.m. and estimated time of arrival in Cebu is 10: 35 a.m. CI 706 then flies out from Cebu at 11: 35 a.m. and expects to arrive 2:30 p.m. at Taoyuan.

MCIA Authority and GMR-MEGAWIDE Cebu Airport Corporation announced the development on Friday.

China Airlines, the fourth airline that will fly the Taipei-Cebu-Taipei route after EVA Air, Tigerair and AirAsia, will thus increase flights from 23 to 29. It is now offering promotional fares starting this weekend with economy class round trip fares starting from NT$5,060 (about P8,500) before taxes.
