True to its roots, the French way is the only way Sofitel Manila does its Christmas celebration — showcasing the allure of French style through modern gastronomy and art.

Other than the lighting of its 30-foot Christmas tree decked with lavish decor of gold, white and silver styled by Jo Claravall, the celebration that was dubbed as “Art du Noel (Christmas Art)” also highlighted a haute couture fashion show showcasing whimsical designs of world-renowned designers Debbie Co and Anthony Ramirez in collaboration with French cosmetics brand Laura Mercier, Miladay Fine Jewels and Staccato.

For Debbie, her collection was inspired by the art exhibit at Atelier de Lumieres in Paris — Van Gogh, Starry Night created by Gianfranco Iannuzzi, Renato Gatto and Massimilano Siccardi. She played around with the different hues and shades of the masterpieces, using different fabrics that emit light and dazzle and successfully incorporating it into her 11-piece collection.

Known for his signature sexy, dynamic with a flair for the dramatic style, Anthony Ramirez amped up everyone’s mood with his sultry and sensuous collection. He successfully captured the image of a girl transitioning into a woman with intricately-tailored gowns, complemented by modern, smoky makeup.
