OLONGAPO CITY, Zambales — An early morning bomb threat, which turned out to be a hoax, briefly disrupted classes at the St. Joseph College yesterday morning.
The Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO) said that the school’s head of student affairs Jesus Ramos received a telephone call about a bomb threat at around 8:30 a.m.
Ramos called the police and promptly ordered the evacuation of the students, parents, teachers and school staff.
DRRMO-Olongapo City officer Angelito Layug also sought the assistance of the police as the OCPO deployed officers and bomb-sniffing dogs to search and secure the area, which was later on declared clear.
