National University (NU) is set to name Goldwin Monteverde as its new men’s basketball head coach for next season of University Athletic Association of the Philippines.
The Bulldogs and Monteverde have reportedly reached an agreement with the NU juniors coach now also taking over the men’s basketball program for Season 83.
“Yes, the group of Goldwin will fully take charge of the NU Bulldogs,” said a reliable source, speaking on condition of anonymity.
“All the other coaches will not be retained.”
Monteverde will replace Jamike Jarin, who spent three years with the Bulldogs and failed to lead them to the Final Four round in each of the three seasons.
