Security Bank Corporation (SBC) took home international citations from the recently held Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards in Singapore.
Build A School, Build A Nation: The Classrooms Project, the flagship corporate social responsibility (CSR) program of the Security Bank Foundation, was hailed as the Best CSR Initiative.
Meanwhile, SBC bank products and services were highly acclaimed in their respective categories: Salary Advance (Loan Offering of the Year), Gold Circle (Best Mass Affluent Banking Offering), Corporate Utility ePayments (Best Payments Innovation) and digital campaigns (Outstanding Digital Marketing Initiative).
“This award ceremony is particularly meaningful. The outstanding and impactful work of Security Bank Foundation was recognized by an international award-giving body in addition to our excellent products and services. These awards are a true reflection of BetterBanking. BetterBanking is a promise to all our stakeholders — clients, employees and the communities we serve,” said Security Bank President & CEO Sanjiv Vohra.
The Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards program celebrates the world’s most cutting-edge retail banks that are pioneering unrivalled standards and capabilities — those that are transforming the industry by setting new benchmarks in service delivery, digital innovation, product development, payments, technology, customer experience and more. They are accolades of excellence and distinction, attributed to outstanding players; and aim to be unbiased objective benchmarks for the industry.
Pioneering Philippine insurer Pioneer has relaunched its retail e-commerce website InsureShop, anchored by its latest travel, medical and motorcycle insurance products and designed for the always-connected Filipino.
“There’s no better time than the present to secure insurance for some of the most relevant needs of the digital generation,” said Lorenzo Chan Jr., Digital Transformation Head of the Pioneer group.
“That is why we have made InsureShop the easiest, most convenient way to get insured, especially in this age where more and more Filipinos are taking to e-commerce for many for their needs,” Chan said.
Led by e-commerce and ride-hailing services that have enjoyed an annualized growth of 47 and 35 percent respectively, the Philippines’ Internet economy is expected to hit $7 billion worth of gross merchandise value (GMV) by the end of 2019, according to the latest e-Conomy SEA research of Google and Singaporean investment company, Temasek.
By bringing insurance to an accessible and easy-to-use e-commerce platform, Pioneer aims to make purchasing insurance as practical as buying new clothes, gadgets, and other necessities online.
“The relaunch of our new InsureShop is aligned with the digital transformation of the whole Pioneer group; at the heart of which is improving the insurance experience of our customers, allowing them to easily secure protection for the different needs and facets of their lives, especially given mobile and digital technologies that are readily available to them,” Chan said.
Pioneer’s new online shop carries three banner products that insure individuals for their travel, health and motoring needs. The products — SafeTrip, MediCash and RideSure — are now available for easy enrollment, simple purchase, and instant policy delivery all online via www.insureshop.ph so that one can be insured anytime and anywhere as long as one has an Internet connection.
