Barangay Ginebra on Friday night clinched a playoff bonus after trouncing Columbian Dyip, 113-90, in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Gin Kings relied on a steady endgame behind Jeff Chan and Art dela Cruz to seal the twice-to-beat quarterfinal incentive.
Chan capped the night with 20 points – including to three pointers in the payoff period for their second straight win in as many games.
Leading 85-80, Ginebra stepped on the gas anchored on Chan and Dela Cruz for 8-2 run that gave the Gin Kings an 11-point cushion with less than 10 minutes left.

Chan then drilled in back-to-back three-pointers for a 99-84 advantage and never looked back from there.
Justin Brownlee finished with 26 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists while Stanley Pringle had 20 points and two steals.
Japeth Aguilar added 19 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks while Dela Cruz had 16 points for the Gin Kings.
It eclipsed the 34 points and 22 rebound production of Columbian import Khapri Alston.
