The police on Friday announced the arrest of two suspects in the killing of broadcaster Dindo Generoso Thursday in follow-up operations in Dumaguete City.
The suspects who were arrested on the same day as the ambush-slay were identified as Teddy Reyes Salaw and retired policeman Glenn Corsame. A cal.45 pistol with live ammunition was seized from them.
A third suspect, Police Corporal Roger Rubio, tagged as the gunman, remains at large. Murder charges are being readied by the police against the suspects.
Earlier, three possible motives – profession, land dispute and politics – were raised by the police on Generoso’s killing, said Central Visayas police chief Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon.

“Reportedly, he was a hard-hitting radio broadcaster. He filed his candidacy for mayor but was declared a nuisance candidate in the 2016 election,” De Leon said.
“I have already ordered a thorough investigation of this case. All angles will be looked into to determine the motive of this attack against Dindo Generoso,” added the police official.
Generoso was killed on the spot when gunmen peppered his car with bullets as he was on his way to his morning radio show. The shooting happened outside a public elementary school in Barangay Piapi.
