Benguet tragedy Search, rescue and retrieval operations are now ongoing at the site of the crash in Bokod, Benguet.
BAGUIO CITY — Three were killed while another was hurt after the vehicle they were riding fell into a 300-meter deep ravine along Bokod-Kabayan Road at Sitio Bogao, Barangay Bila in Bokod, Benguet.
The fatalities were identified as Dennis Pay-oen Bigya, Salman Pay-oen Bigya and Leonardo Pay-oen, while Franklin Pay-oen was injured in the accident.
According to reports, the victims came from Buguias, Benguet and were heading home to Nueva Vizcaya last Tuesday.
Their relatives began to worry when the four did not arrive at the expected time at Nueva Vizcaya. They rushed to the area when one of them saw a post on social media about an accident in Bokod.

On 30 October, personnel of the BFP Bokod and Kabayan together with Kabayan Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, Bokod MDRRMC, Kabayan as well as Bokod Police, civilian volunteers and relatives of the victims conducted search, rescue and retrieval operations.
