For more than 30 years, world-renowned fashion designer Criselda Lontok has been paving the way for an elegant and refined fashion that dazzle her generation — the baby boomers. Her classy silhouettes have earned her a constant top spot in Rustan’s Department Stores.

And as a beautiful closer to a very fruitful 2019, she presented the Criselda Lontok Holiday 2019 collection at The Gallerie in Rustan’s Makati. Featured in the show were some of Philippine society’s most stylish including Joy Rustia, Marga Nograles, Jojo Ocampo, Liza Chan Parpan, Penny Lopez and Ria Fernandez.

Although some of her looks were similar and, at the same time, different from her previous collections, the renowned designer, accidentally or not, was able to create styles that would appeal to the generation of today — Millennials and Generation Z (yes, they are different).

As a Gen-Z baby myself, I was surprised that I was able to admire and whisper to myself, “I want those clothes” on a few chosen styles and pieces that models showcased on the runway. Never in my life did I think that an athletic attire could look chic and sophisticated — far from the sporty and snazzy look — but because Criselda Lontok had a hand in it, there were winning ensembles.
