Maid, partner steal boss’ cash

A household helper and her live-in partner were arrested for allegedly stealing her employer’s cash on Wednesday morning.
Pasig police chief Col. Moises Villaceran Jr. identified the suspects as Mary Jane Roque, alias Jopay, 45, and Gerald Padronia, 36.
The incident occurred at Doña Agapito Subdivision, Barangay Santolan.
Initial investigation disclosed that Roque, a house helper, allegedly conspired with Padroma and carted away P150,000 cash from her employer.
The complainant, who refused to be named, sought assistance from the Barangay Rosario Security Force who immediately launched a manhunt operation for the suspects.
Roque admitted she took her employer’s money to buy appliances and groceries. Only the remaining P68,000 cash has been returned to the complainant.
The suspects will be facing charges of qualified theft.
