Composed of Paul (vocalist), Samuel (bass), Renjhie (drums) and Dwight (guitars), the four-piece band from Caloocan City has mastered their rendition of Beatles’ songs.
“We have old people coming to us after gigs saying that we sound like the Beatles,” drummer Renjhie said during an interview.

Dwight added that most listeners claim their original tracks carry a vibe akin to the English band.
Becoming a young “Beatles” was purely out of serendipity though. They only covered the songs out of passion but decided to make it their brand because of the warm public reception.
More than their image, the self-taught musicians want to have a voice of their own. They write original songs which range from simple subjects like love to more sensitive issues such as mental health disorders.
Paul, who mostly writes their tracks, admitted that one of their originals, “Let Me,” is a song he wrote for his teenage crush, while “Beautiful Flower” is a track the band hopes will help those who suffer in some way. They added that they wrote it for those who have depression and hope that their listeners will find comfort in it.
What sets April Fools apart from other bands is its simplicity. More than the popularity, the young group wants to be a bridge in promoting Original Pilipino Music specially to young listeners.
