Rising against world hunger

Each Fortified Meal pack is enough to feed 12 to 15 children with food enriched with the vitamins and minerals they need.

Rise Against Hunger meal packs are composed of rice, soy, dried vegetables or fruits, flavoring mix and a vitamin and mineral sachet.

In partnership with Rise Against Hunger Philippines, Old Navy is accepting donations to help end world hunger. Through this campaign, customers may purchase a Fortified Meal Pack worth P100 at any Old Navy store, which will be donated to the beneficiaries of Rise Against Hunger Philippines’ (RAHP) feeding program. In return, customers will enjoy P100 off on any regular-priced Old Navy apparel.

Each Fortified Meal pack is enough to feed 12 to 15 children with food enriched with the vitamins and minerals they need. All meal packs donated will be given by Old Navy to the children of Barangay Ususan, Taguig City Daycare Center. On its first run last 2018, Old Navy was able to raise meal packs enough to feed 22,000 children. All meal packs were also donated to Barangay Ususan, Taguig City. The Fortified Meal Packs are currently available at all Old Navy stores in the Philippines until 27 October.

The Rise Against Hunger meal packs are composed of rice, soy, dried vegetables or fruits, flavoring mix and a vitamin and mineral sachet. Each 400-gram meal pack contains a sachet of flavoring mix such as Chicken Arroz Caldo, Beef Congee, Champorado and Ginataan. Ingredients produced in local family or community gardens are used to provide livelihood to people in need. Meals are packaged locally by volunteers under the supervision of RAHP.
