Oppo Reno 2 empowers video creators

New cameras boast of “bokeh effect” for motion pictures.

Oppo moves into the world of video content creating with the release of its latest Reno series, which now caters to video bloggers and photography hobbyists.

Oppo said the Reno 2 series is both fresh and nostalgic as it provides improved features but in a familiar package.

Like the original Oppo Reno, the new line from the brand sports a 16-megapixel motorized pop-up camera which retained the unique shark’s fin shape of its predecessor.

Its screen size is slightly bigger from the 6.4-inch AMOLED to 6.5 inches of full AMOLED. It is now protected with the sixth Generation Corning Gorilla Glass and comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security.

Oppo Reno 2 series also stepped up its camera game with its quadcamera setup.

Its four rear cameras are composed of a 48MP main camera, an 8MP wide angle lens, a 13MP telephoto lens and a 2MP mono lens which can support five times hybrid zoom, 20 times digital zoom and ultra-wide-angle shots of up to 116 degrees of view.

The enhanced cameras allow its users to capture both near and long-distance scenarios in high quality imaging.

Aside from the hardware, users will enjoy creating video content with its optimized camera features, including Ultra Steady Mode feature designed to guarantee stable and smooth videos, Ultra Dark Mode which produces crisp and clear shots even during low light conditions and the “bokeh effect” in video which adds depth to the focused subject while shooting.

Additional video features are background noise reduction and the “audio zoom” that amplifies the sound of a subject while zooming in on it.
