Miss Universe 2018 is always ready to help Filipinos find their way on the road.

Much has been said about Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray being the first Filipino celebrity voice on Waze. The most significant, perhaps, is that it seems to be having an effect on lessening road rage.

BDO had partnered with global navigation app, Waze, to make Gray the latest addition to the app’s Change Voice settings. Catriona’s voice is now available on the app to help motorists on the road to easily find their way to their next destination.

Many have commented that Catriona’s positivity seems to have made normally grouchy drivers less pugnacious on the road.

Her words of advice along with reminders and safety tips — “Time to park the car and do the lava walk” or “In my experience, U-turns are best made slowly” — have caused people to smile instead of growling at the traffic.

Best of all, her “silver lining” comment has made some drivers look on the bright side of the situation that we call everyday traffic.

“I am truly honored to be the first Filipino Waze celebrity voice. It has always been my passion to voice out my advocacies and spread positivity. Being the newest voice on Waze enables me to share positivity to Filipinos who are on the road — going to school, work or wherever they need to be. I want to keep them inspired and help them find their way so that we can all be happy and remain optimistic, despite many challenges such as the traffic.” said Catriona.
