A 5.2 magnitude earthquake rocked Davao Oriental early Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.
The quake, which had a depth of 108 km, hit at 4:53 a.m. Its epicenter is located at 17 kilometers northeast of Manay, Davao Oriental.
Intensity 2 was reported in General Santos City.
PHIVOLCS is not expecting damages but says aftershocks are likely to occur.
The agency clarified that the quake is not an aftershock of the 6.3 magnitude quake that hit North Cotabato on Wednesday.
