Thirdy Ravena sizzled when it mattered most as the Ateneo Blue Eagles edged arch rival De La Salle University, 77-69, at the Mall of Asia Arena Sunday.
The Eagles notched their 10th win in as many games this season following a close battle most of the way. Ateneo enjoyed a 64-55 lead which they never relinquished despite a La Salle fightback.
Also starring for Ateneo was Adrian Wong with his season-high 18 points.
“I think it’s another example of, you know, somebody else on our roster stepping up and having a good game when it was needed,” said Ateneo coach Tab Baldwin of Wong.
