Four heartwarming exhibits showcased 19 stories of “Amazing Possibles” were shared in a night of awe and art at the Yuchengco Museum in Makati.

Parents think their children can do anything. The possibilities are endless for children today.

Through the first steps, first words or achievements in school or in general, parents want to see and share their children’s success for the world to see.

This is why last 9 September, NANKID kicked off its newest global re-launch campaign called the “Amazing Possibles,” taking into the center stage some nostalgic stories, memories and mementos to honor the lessons and love between parents and their children.

Four heartwarming exhibits showcased 19 stories of “Amazing Possibles” were shared in a night of awe and art at the Yuchengco Museum in Makati.

It’s not most of the time that mothers get to spend their time with their kids. Among all factors, work is one thing that can sometimes hinder bonding moments.

Fate Quimada, a single working mother of one, shared her stories of balancing her time between her son Nate and the demands that her career.

Despite not being home most of the time due to traveling for work, Fate is amazed at how her son tries to understand their situation and establish a good relationship with her.

“Raising Nate is quite challenging, especially because I’m working. Most of the time, I travel a lot so with the help of my parents (we make do). Since I’m a single parent, (raising Nate) is quite hard,” she shared.

The distance was quite a challenge for her, missing a few milestones because of her career. However, Nate turned out to be as loving and caring as ever despite the struggles.

“As a working mom, I miss a lot of milestones. So, every moment with my child is very special. But, to name a few, (it’s when we went to) Korea with him. I was amazed how sweet he is, even up to the point like, for example, when I’m cold since we went to Korea on wintertime, Nate gave up his gloves for me because I lost mine,” she reminisced.

Nate’s caring and understanding attitude are what opened the doors of possibles in his future. “It’s important for me to raise Nate with values because it’s a parameter for a kid to be successful in life. More on developed values. It’s not that academics aren’t the most important thing for me, but I feel like (raising a kid) with values are more important (to instill in her kid),” Fate shared.

With NANKID, Fate continues to learn and give what is best for Nate. “Since I work with Nestlé, there are a lot of tips in terms of parenting like we shouldn’t force our kids to do something. And then, instead of when he made a mistake, scolding isn’t the best path to take. But just ask and tell him that it won’t happen again,” she shared.

In an Instagram post, influential mother Joy Sotto shared her sentiments regarding the “Amazing Possibles” that her son Rossano made her realize.

Adults often underestimate the kids’ power to understand things their parents tell them. Most of the time, they do have a deep perception of what is taught to them.

“There are days when we think our kids are not paying attention to what we teach them but there will be instances when they will just amaze us,” she shared on her post. It was when she had a small argument with her husband, Gian, that their son witnessed.

After a few exchanges of heated words, Rosanno told them not to fight. As both Joy and Gian reassured their kid, apologized both to him and to each other, their kid still noticed that Joy had become unintentionally cold towards her husband.

Despite his age, Rosanno had a deep understanding of what happened and reminded her again of the true meaning of forgiveness by pointing out that ‘cold’ behavior.

“You wouldn’t think a young child could correct you like that, but in reality, they are capable of doing so much. This will be one of Rossano’s #AmazingPossibles that I will remember forever,” she ended on her post.

According to Joy, her son takes the lessons she teaches them to heart as Rosanno confides in her about a situation with her eldest, Hugo.

Such nurtured stories about each struggle, realization and achievement reminded them of the future of the children. NANKID, as a lifetime partner, connects these stories of love for the same mission; to provide and show what’s best for the hope of the future generation.

Along with Fate and Joy are other influential mothers like Cat Arambulo and Nicole Hernandez who shared their own advocacies, anecdotes and achievements with their kids at the Amazing Possibles’ gala.
