The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) is bringing together 1,000 local and foreign businessmen for the country’s biggest business event seeking to address public-private initiatives under the growing digital economy.

PCCI president Ma. Alegria Sibal Limjoco said the 45th Philippine Business Conference & Expo with the theme “Enabling Business in a Digital Economy” follows the 2018 theme which put in the spotlight industry-wide disruptions due to digital economy and the government’s flagship infrastructure program.

“Business is really going digital and it’s inevitable. (That is why) we are having this discussion and we invited renowned local and international experts in the field of digital economy and technology innovation to share their thoughts, experiences and tips on how business can survive and thrive in a dynamically changing environment,” Limjoco said.

Meanwhile, program chairman Dr. William S. Co said the conference serves as an avenue for even small firms to understand and partake in the digital economy.

“We are now seeing how digital technology is rapidly transforming the traditional business landscape, how companies are hurting and benefiting and the opportunities and uncertainties it bring,” Co said in a briefing in Manila, Friday.
