Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced on Friday the inclusion of Vivienne Tan – daughter of business tycoon and PAL owner Lucio Tan – to its 15-man Board as the flag carrier pursues digital transformation.
Vivienne joins the board of directors — a role that comes on top of her responsibilities as PAL executive vice president for treasury, treasurer and chief administrative officer, PAL said in a statement on Friday.
“With this added responsibility, I shall continue to be focused in steering the company to profitability,” Vivienne said in a statement.
PAL also announced the resignations of board member Cirilo Noel, senior vice president of corporate planning Angelito Alvarez and PAL general counsel and senior vice president Siegfred Mison.
Meantime, Gilbert Santa Maria, PAL president and Chief Operating Officer, said they will embark on digital transformation initiatives to ensure the airline’s needs are met by the most ideal technology solutions.
