A 61-year-old man was arrested for possession of illegal drugs in a police operation in Pasig City on Sunday morning.
Pasig police chief Col. Moises Villaceran identified the suspect as Manuelito Francisco, widow, of Barangay Palatiw.
Investigation said that while Pasig police personnel were conducting “Oplan Galugad” along a passage of a creek located at Market Avenue, they saw a man giving a plastic sachet believed containing shabu to the suspect.
Police accosted the men, but one managed to flee the site. Only the 61-year-old suspect was collared.
Confiscated from him were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and a blue pouch. He is in the city’s drugs watch list.
