The number coding is suspended while the Metro Manila Development Authority will deploy buses to aid commuters as a nationwide transportation strike threatens to paralyze major routes on Monday.
At the same time, the Inter-Agency Council for Traffic, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group and local government units will apprehend strikers who will disrupt traffic flow and force other transport operators to join the demonstration.
“We don’t expect a major effect on the commuters but we’re employing contingency plans anyway because the mobility and convenience of the riding public are always our priorities,” said LTFRB chair Martin Delgra III.
”The plan is not only to aid commuters but also to make sure the strike will be held peacefully.”

In Metro Manila, classes are suspended in all levels, public and private, in Pasay, Valenzuela, Marikina, Parañaque, Caloocan, Malabon, Muntinlupa City, Pasig, Taguig City, Pateros, San Juan, Pampanga, Rizal and Cavite.
Laguna suspended classes in Majayjay and Sta. Cruz and Negros Occidental in Bacolod, Bago and Talisay.
Manila suspended college and graduate school classes only, saying students from preschool to high school students usually live near their schools, but some private schools decided to suspend classes in all levels.
Quezon City declared class suspension up to senior high school only.
The Office of the Ombudsman and all Metro Manila courts also announced work suspension as early as Sunday.
