The management of South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) is currently working on possible solutions to solve the traffic woes in the expressway brought by the construction of the Skyway Extension Project.
Toll Regulatory Board spokesperson Julius Corpuz said the buildup is usually within six to eight kilometers on the northbound lane of SLEX with its tailend at Filinvest.
The extension project is aimed to decongest the traffic in Muntinlupa City.
It is expected to be completed by December 2020 instead of its original target completion of within six months.
Corpuz said the SLEX management will open the closed lane by December due to the expected influx of vehicles plying the road during the Holidays.
