The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Friday announced the completion of its two infrastructure projects in the provinces of Cagayan and Pangasinan.
According to DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, DPWH has already completed the widening of Gammad Bridge and construction of a new building of Vicente D. Trinidad National High School in Iguig, Cagayan.
“The delivery of these projects adheres to the department’s mandate to provide our people access to basic needs and shows its support to the sectors of trade and education,” Secretary Villar said.
With the wider bridge, from two lanes to four lanes, the delivery of services and connectivity to neighboring municipalities are expected to speed up and improve.
The widening of the 21-lineal meter Gammad Bridge costed about P29 million.
On the other hand, the new two-storey building of Vicente D. Trinidad National High School is expected to provide a more conducive learning environment with more rooms for classes.
