The recent unveiling of a new entrant into the Philippine fashion landscape drew the eye toward a man of the times, James Reid.

In line with this, Armitron also launched a watch that suited James Reid the most. Called ‘The James,’ the watch is the complete representation of the kind of person James is; elegant, classic and fashionable.

For a decade in show business, James has juggled countless commitments. No doubt, the star has a lot of things on his plate that makes it harder for the actor to manage his time.

With ongoing endorsements like Armitron and his music, time is of the essence when it comes to his life.

However, despite his intensive work schedules, James shared that it is all because of the support he has from the people that surround him that helped him manage his time. “I have a lot people supporting me. I have a team, my family, my friends, my girlfriend. If it was just me alone, I won’t be able to manage the things I’m doing. I have a lot of people to thank,” he shared.

Even now, James said he is pursuing a lot of things, especially for his music, but he doesn’t plan on closing the doors for upcoming projects. “I’m not giving up show business or anything, I still plan to do movies. I’m just waiting for the right project,” he clarified. James also said he is not working on ongoing projects or teleseryes as of the moment.

This is in line with the recent news of his non-renewal of contract with VIVA Artists Agency, his longtime management of seven years. VIVA was the agency he started with after his Pinoy Big Brother stint.

James assured they are in good terms and his working relationship with Nadine Lustre, who is still under VIVA, is not affected at all. “We’re still working together, we’re all in good terms, which is great. I just have a bit of freedom now, is all,” he said.

The multi-talented actor also admits that he likes this freedom. His father, Robert Malcom Reid, is the one managing him as of the moment.

“It’s great, but it’s also scary, knowing that it’s just me. But I’m focusing a lot on my music right now, I want to give it a chance. I want to see how far I can take my music. I have big plans for it,” he shared. James is managing his own music label, Careless Music Manila, with his friend, Bret Jackson.

“There are benefits and drawbacks. There will always have to be having the freedom to make choices but it’s that lack of management and the system that was difficult,” he said about having to co-manage his career and time on his own with the help of his father.

“I think it’s important to take time. There’s a time for everything. Sometimes, there’s time to sit back and relax, there’s a time to go a hundred percent. I think you should just trust the process — there’s a time for everything. No pressure. Just do whatever you feel is right,” he shared.

Despite the severed ties with VIVA, he is still taking endorsements and projects as it comes as he waits for the right moment. James last appeared as a judge in Idol Philippines.
