Fans of the Sharon Cuneta and Cherie Gil tandem may soon see them together on the big screen as part of the cast of indie award-winning filmmaker Sheron Dayoc’s planned movie. FACEBOOK.COM/SHARONCUNETA

Award-winning filmmaker/producer Sheron Dayoc has film material for Sharon Cuneta and Cherie Gil, according to the post of artist manager/writer/radio host Noel Ferrer on his Facebook page.

Sheron and Noel were classmates at the Ricky Lee writing workshop and the good news was relayed to him by the director for a co-production with a Canadian producer.

Dayoc is working on a possible material for Sharon and Cherie movie.

The classic tandem of Sharon and Cherie was last seen in the blockbuster musical drama flick Bituing Walang Ningning in the 80s.

Pitching will start after the “Iconic” concert of Sharon and Regine Velasquez. Cherie says about the project, “I think you will hit it right with Sharon, Sheron. You’re just a vowel away!”

Sheron is best known for the indie movies, Halaw (2010) and the Women of the Weeping River (2016). He is an alumna of the Asian Film Academy in Pusan, Korea.

Kapamilya actor JM de Guzman faces a frustrated murder complaint at the Quezon City Prosecutors Office filed by a real estate broker, Pitt Norman Zafra.

In a statement from De Guzman’s counsels, Atty. Louie Aseoche and Atty. Juan Paolo Tumbali through Star Magic, it says, “On behalf of JM de Guzman we would like to inform everyone that there are reports circulating that a certain Pitt Norman Zafra has recently filed a complaint for Frustrated Murder against JM and another individual at the Office of the City Prosecutor in Quezon City.

“The Complaint-Affidavit of Mr. Zafra is actually a rehash of a previous complaint he filed for ‘Physical Injuries’ which he withdrew before the City Prosecutor Office in Quezon City on 8 August 2019.

“JM is surprised why Mr. Zafra would now want him to answer a more serious charge under the same set of circumstances as the complaint that he withdrew last month.

“We believe that the proper venue where facts can be distilled from fiction would be before the Investigating Prosecutor n Quezon City, not in media.

“Since Mr. Zafra had already filed his complaint, it is most unfair to Mr. Zafra to preempt the proceedings by spreading negative publicity against JM when the Investigating Prosecutor of the Quezon City still has to conduct a preliminary investigation on the charges.

“We are confident that JM has the necessary evidence, both testimonial and electronic, to prove his innocence.

“JM will most certainly file counter charges against Mr. Zafra.”
