The chief of Manila Police District on Wednesday denied any links with the city’s alleged “drug queen” and threatened to kill her when he sees her.
“I have only one thing to say. She has no connection with me. And I will kill you when I see you,” Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. told reporters in Filipino referring to Guia Gomez Castro.
Meanwhile, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno called on Castro, the former chief of Barangay 484 Zone 48 in Sampaloc district who was re-elected in May but failed to take her oath of office, to surface and give her side.
The mayor also urged relatives of Castro to help convince her to surface.

Moreno made the appeal after National Capital Region Police Office chief, Major General Guillermo Eleazar, revealed the name of the “drug queen” who was mentioned in a Senate hearing as the one who recycles or resells illegal drugs seized by so-called “ninja cops.”
According to Eleazar, available records show that Castro left Manila on 21 September 2019 via Ccebu Pacific Flight 5J931 bound for Bangkok.
Also citing the same records, Eleazar said Castro arrived in Manila on board PAL flight PR 119 from Vancouver, Canada on 18 September 2018.
“Subject regularly traveled (monthly) from Manila to Bangkok, Sydney Australia and Vancouver alternately from May 2015 to September 2018,” said Eleazar.
Meanwhile, Moreno warned Manila’s barangay leaders against trafficking in illegal drugs and protecting drug lords. (With Pat Santos and Mario Mallari)
