Ginger King-Villavicencio has a knack for turning table settings into works of art. Her tablescape business, Casa Luxia, is known for its luxurious and polish design details, whether for intimate or large-scale events.

She can mix and match ornaments, mainly flowers, with those of Piero Fornasetti, Hermès and Megan Hess pieces. Her collection of premium cutlery tops it all, adding elegance to the already exciting celebration.

Casa Luxia made a name for itself as Manila’s pioneer tablescape provider. Now as they celebrate a milestone, Villavicencio proudly looked back on the brand’s humble beginnings as they reach their first year in the industry.

“It seems like it was only yesterday that I was telling my husband about pursuing a tablescape rental business, which also happens to be part of my passion for conducting events,” Ginger said.

“There was also her fear that Casa Luxia would not be accepted in the industry, simply because the service they’re offering is not that known in the market.

“Needless to say, we did pursue this opportunity, but we felt the first year was very crucial in establishing ourselves,” she admitted.

Specially curated table-settings were influenced by the rise of digital photography, where there is an unspoken requirement — that every angle has to be photogenic enough to be captured and shared online for the whole world to see. This also resulted in food that are required to be served beautifully. This and all contributed to Casa Luxia’s level of luxury and taste.

“The first year was dedicated to how Casa Luxia will be accepted and if we do have a place in the industry. It’s been a year now, and here we are. I’m still surprised how far we’ve come and you, my dear partners, made this possible,” she mused.

Casa Luxia celebrated its first year anniversary by partnering with designers Badang Rueda, Gideon Hermosa, Kaye Garcia and Dave Sandoval for a one-of-a-kind table setting collaboration.

“From the industry that has become so endearing to my heart, I just wanted to give my overwhelming gratitude. Although we have just begun, we are looking forward to more collaborations, partnerships and dazzling events in the future. Rest assured that we will be here mainly to provide you with superb and exquisite tablescapes.
