Outkast FC is the first women’s division champion.

Ghana and Outkast will defend their titles a‪s the Philam Life 7s Football League kicks off its fourth season Sunday, 8 September, at McKinley Stadium in Taguig City.‬

Season 4 has 12 teams each for the men’s and women’s divisions while men’s Division 2 makes its debut with 10 squads.

The men’s division will feature defending champion Ghana FC, Seasons 1 and 2 champion and Season 3 runner-up Super Eagles, Real Amigos, Laro FC, Futbol Funatics, Monte Manila, Superbad FC, Tondo FC, Bohemian Sporting Club, DMatsunaga Football Academy, Matu Deportivo and Mondo International.

Ghana FC will aim for back-to-back titles in the men’s division.

Outkast FC will defend the women’s title against Stallion-Hiraya FC, Bohemian Sporting Club, Superbad-Azzuri, Azzurri Ladies, Azzuri Girls, Payatas FC, Beach Hut, Futbol Funatics, Kaya FC, Nomads and Sims United.

The debuting men’s Division 2 will have Komrads-Pangulo, DNO FC, Laro B, Manhur, Manila Kings, Mendiola, Paha FC, Philippine Coastguard Azzurri, Spoly and Team Soccerroo.

The youth divisions will simultaneously start on opening day with eight teams each for U15, U13, U11 and U9.

Provincial legs in Bacolod, Cebu, Iloilo and Davao also open today while the Batangas tournaments starts October.

“The competition within the 7s is going to be strong this year,” said league founder Anton del Rosario, a many-time member of the national team. “All the teams are training now. All the teams have extra additions. We have players like Stephan Shrock. The league is going to be exciting.”

In addition to the Sunday-only matches, the league will train 50 kids from Young Focus in Tondo headed by Tondo FC coach Mark Dennis Balbin.

The Philam Life 7s Football League aims to provide a premier competition for footballers around the nation, develop talents from the grassroots level and groom players for possible international tournaments.
