Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte on Saturday graced the registration of sidewalk vendors displaced by road clearing in Barangay Culiat so they can get low cost or free stalls offered by the city government.
Belmonte assured that registered vendors will not be paying “butaw” or illegal fees to corrupt local officials.
The vendor stalls are also offered to informal settlers so they can have their own livelihood, according to the mayor.
