More than 8,000 families or 33,000 individuals from 156 barangays in Regions 1, 2 and 3 have been affected by severe tropical storm “Ineng” which battered Northern Luzon with heavy rains late last week.
Reports from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) showed that as of 6 a.m. Monday, 8,008 families or 33,333 persons were affected by the weather disturbance.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development has readied stockpiles of relief assistance and standby funds amounting to P1, 863,042,677.57 for the affected families.
