NorthPort is bringing in Mychal Ammons to boost its campaign in the Philippine Basketball Association Governor’s Cup next month.
The 27-year-old Ammons, a 6-foot-5 former South Alabama standout, is no longer stranger to local action after suiting up for Talk ‘N Text in 2016.
He averaged 14.7 points, 12.9 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in his 12 games with the KaTropa before losing to Meralco in the semifinals.
His last professional stint was for Tijuana Zonkeys in Mexico.
Ammons will be such a great addition to the Batang Pier, especially after they finished the Commissioner’s Cup eliminations with a 9-2 win-loss mark before surrendering to San Miguel Beer in the quarterfinals.
He would be a great fit to the young team bannered by Sol Mercado, Sean Anthony, Jervy Cruz and Kevin Ferrer.
