At night, GrabFood’s data reported a growing demand for late-night food deliveries with 13 times increase in orders from March 2019 to present.

With this in mind, cancellation of orders is completely out of the application. “Once it says that your order has been picked up, the cancel order is actually out. It’s to say that you can’t just cancel the order after the driver purchased the food on your behalf,” De la Vega explained.

“We are rolling out, very soon, a much clearer policy on these notions that we might have seen in the past. A very small percentage of orders are negligible, and we all know that every order counts right so we have very clear reimbursement policies for delivery partners. And anytime that it should happen, they can reach us through a number of support channels to let us know, and we fully reimburse it no matter how much the value is,” he added.
