Three people died in two separate road accidents in Pangasinan province that occurred late Friday night and early Saturday morning, the police reported yesterday.
The police said one of the victims was Eddie Laron, a laborer, who was hit by a northbound passenger bus traversing the Manila North Road in Barangay Asan Sur in Sison town about 2 a.m. on Saturday.
He was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Bus driver Eduardo Pipo Jr. was arrested and would be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.

Investigators said the couple was only about a kilometer away from their house in Barangay Sagud Bahley when their motorcycle crashed into a tricycle loading a passenger on the western side of the road.
As a result of the collision, the couple was thrown off their motorcycle and crushed by a passenger bus following them, according to SPO1 Alexander Supsupin of the San Fabian police.
Supsupin said Eduardo, who was driving the motorcycle, was killed instantly, while Cecilia died while being taken to a hospital in Dagupan City.
