Normally, supporters who go out of their way to campaign for their candidates are a boon to those running in the polls.
Former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, however, has a different take. He wants his supporters to stop putting up tarpaulins expressing support for him lest he be accused of violating election regulations.
“I’m begging you. Just keep it in your heart who you are voting for so we won’t be accused of violating Comelec rules,” Go said.
The former SAP reminded his supporters that if they truly want to support him and the President, they should just participate in pushing for the advocacies that the administration is working hard for.

He told his supporters to just use their resources in helping people in need instead of merely promoting him as a candidate.
“It is my priority to help and be of service. Even at the heat of the campaign, I still find time to comfort those in need of help. If I were you, I will just use the money for campaign materials to help those in need,” he said.
Go denied allegations that government offices were asked to put up his campaign materials.
He explained that most of these initiatives done by supporters are ways of showing their appreciation to the Duterte administration for its efforts to instill real and positive change in the country.

Meanwhile, Go on Thursday rallied the people of Bulacan to support the administration’s senatorial candidates to ensure the continuity of the programs and policies of President Rodrigo Duterte.
Go aired his call in his speech at the PDP proclamation and kick-off rally in San Jose del Monte City in Bulacan.
In his speech, Go asked the people if they were satisfied with the way the administration of President Duterte ran the country in the past three years. He received an affirmative answer.
Go vowed to support President Duterte’s campaign against drugs, criminality and corruption.
