Communist party founder Joma Sison desperately seems to want peace talks to resume, especially as President Duterte has given his thumbs down for a resumption of peace talks with the commies. He knows peace talks with the government don’t work at all, since he and his commies want power-sharing, even if his commie armed rebels don’t listen to him anyway.

“It is nothing but bravura that Sison tries so hard to exhibit before the media that keep on giving Sison media mileage.

Sison has claimed another justification to threaten Duterte again, stating he is now rethinking the commie party stand of being open to peace talks, on account of the killing of National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) peace consultant Randy Malayao on Wednesday, when he was gunned down inside an Isabela-bound bus during a stopover in Nueva Vizcaya.

Sison in a statement to media said, “In view of the murder of NDFP consultant Randy Malayao, the NDFP and all revolutionary forces within its fold are now in the process of reconsidering its policy of being open to peace negotiations with the GRP under the Duterte regime and are more than ever determined to carry out the overthrow of the treasonous, tyrannical, murderous and corrupt Duterte regime.”

To set facts right, Duterte had already thumbed down peace talks with the commies, perhaps realizing that peace talks with the Reds hardly benefit the government and administration.

Instead, such talks benefit the Reds and their armed New People’s Army with truces. Despite these, they continue extorting protection money from businesses in their areas, as well as keeping on with their killings of the country’s police and military, all of whom, it should be pointed out, are mandated to go after the enemies of the people which includes using the full force of the law.

What our law enforcers do is legal and constitutional. What these Red NPA rebels do is unconstitutional, including having unlicensed firearms and murdering police, which is against the law.

Sison is not through with his useless threats, but this new warning is certified useless as he calls for the overthrow of the Duterte regime which he believes to be a “treasonous, tyrannical, murderous and corrupt Duterte regime.”

Facts first. It is Sison and his commie army and propagandists who are treasonous. They not only go against what is mandated by the Constitution — they bear unlicensed arms — they are murderers and certified tyrants as their organized armed commie groups. Their movement and their leaders embrace a totalitarian government and do not believe in democracy.

But do these commie leaders really believe that they can dislodge Duterte and his regime or is it the usual bravura of Sison?

Of course, it is nothing but bravura that Sison tries so hard to exhibit before the media that keeps on giving Sison media mileage even when they know that his warnings amount to nothing.

Think about it. When Duterte rejects peace talks, there goes Sison blasting the President, calling him all sorts of names. When Duterte gives the green light to his peace negotiators to resume talks, one does not hear anything from Sison or any of his aboveground commies who enjoy being legislators through an abused partylist system and, at the same time, spread their anti-Duterte regime propaganda, echoing the Sison line, even to the extent of pointing the finger at Duterte and blaming the President — all the time — to get Filipinos to hate him and make them believe that he is a dictator, corrupt, tyrannical, murderous and treasonous.

That’s hardly going to fly and Sison and his propagandists certainly know it. But they continue to try.

Just how does Sison, along with the yellows, who desperately want to get back power and unconstitutionally, too, as well as the militant and meddling bishops and their priests and nuns, expect to oust Duterte? Through a yellow-colored EDSA II? By getting the Muslim rebels — and perhaps even the remnants of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front fighters, Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters and Moro National Liberation Front and of course the usual commies — to start their terror bombing again to generate the perception that, indeed, it is all because of Duterte who can’t stop these bombings?

At this time, there are already terror bombings of Catholic churches and Muslim mosques, more to strengthen the speculation and belief that, due to the Bangsamoro plebiscite that yielded a positive result, the Christian-Muslim war has resumed.

Forget it Sison: the yellows have been discredited by the Filipinos and the meddling clerics and religious are being frowned upon by the people.

Forget it Joma. You won’t be able to beat Duterte.
