A portion of North Avenue in Quezon City will be closed to vehicular traffic starting today, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced.
Motorists traversing North Avenue going to Quezon Memorial Circle are advised to use the following alternate route:
From North Avenue, turn right at Agham Road and then turn left at Quezon Avenue to Quezon Memorial Circle to destination.
MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia said the closure will ease heavy traffic in the area when vehicles coming from North Avenue and those traversing along the Elliptical Road merge.
“We want to address the chokepoint area on the Elliptical Road with this road closure,” said Garcia, in a press briefing on Monday afternoon.
