College of Saint Benilde dominated San Sebastian College with an emphatic 25-17, 25-16, 25-14 victory to advance to the Final Four of the 94th National Collegiate Athletic Association women’s volleyball tournament yesterday at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
Rachel Anne Austero and Klarissa Abriam presided over the carnage as they combined for 24 points for the Lady Blazers, who claimed their seventh win in eight games.
The victory also gave Saint Benilde a share of second spot with San Beda University and, most importantly, a spot in the Final Four.
Arellano University, the reigning champion who is on the cusp of sweeping the elimination round with a pristine 8-0 (win-loss) record and San Beda are already safely into the next round.
