What could be the worst wedding spoiler? No, it’s not when one of the guests objects to the nuptial when the marriage official asks if anyone present is against the union of the bride and groom.

What if the wedding planner failed to deliver and there are no food and drinks for hungry guests and relatives at the post-wedding reception venue?

Antique native Shine Lany Tamayo, 26, and her Taiwanese groom, Jhon Chen, 40, suffered such nightmare on 3 December 2018, but she kept her composure so as not to spoil their important day and simply ordered food from a nearby restaurant. Tamayo and Chen even carried trays of food from the restaurant to the reception venue themselves.

However, just as the couple was close to weathering the first storm of their married lives, the real spoiler happened during the custom of cutting and eating the wedding cake. When Tamayo sliced through the icing, the inside was polystyrene and not cake.

That was when Tamayo felt devastated and humiliated. She broke down in front of everyone.

The bride was so enraged that she hauled the caterer, Krissa Cananea, that same day to the police station, where it was confirmed that the two-layer cake had a foam as base.

The confrontation at the police station was videoed and posted on Facebook, where it became viral with more than half a million views so far. In the video, a teary Tamayo refused to pardon Cananea.

“Walang sorry-sorry dito. Grabeng kahihiyan iyan,” she said, referring to the fake cake.

“The woman we paid to do the food has ruined my wedding. She’s a liar. She always asked me for money and I always gave her what she needed, because I wanted my wedding to be perfect,” GMA News quoted Tamayo as saying.

Fortunately, for the spoiler, Tamayo decided to leave her fate to karma the following day as she and her groom returned to Taiwan where they live.

While the caterer got away with the wedding deception, providing another icing-covered foam will surely leave her future customers fuming.
