“These same yellows refused to impeach Davide despite the clear betrayal of public trust he committed against the Filipino people.

Filing an impeachment complaint at the House of Representatives against seven of the Supreme Court justices who voted to oust Lourdes Sereno as their chief justice in a quo warranto case is nothing more than a cheap yellow publicity stunt.

Not surprisingly it is the allies of Sereno who are lodging this impeachment complaint, more to bring Sereno, their potential senatorial candidate, the publicity she needs to be in the public limelight should she run for the Senate.

Albay Rep. Edcel Lagman used the tiresome argument that impeachable officers such as Sereno can only be removed through impeachment proceedings before Congress.

“It is important the errant justices should be made accountable to the people… The ultimate standard of justice would be the impeachment and removal of the seven justices against whom we will file the impeachment complaint,” Lagman said.

Among the associate justices who ousted Sereno were Teresita Leonardo-de Castro, Diosdado Peralta, Lucas Bersamin, Francis Jardeleza, Noel Tijam, Andres Reyes Jr. and Alexander Gesmundo. They make up the majority of the justices who voted to oust the unqualified Sereno.

It is definitely a cheap gimmick since the complainants, the opposition in the House, led by Lagman and the usual annoying House flies know that there is no chance in hell for the impeachment complaint against the seven justices to even reach first base in the Justice Committee, especially with the same silly argument Lagman and company hold that it is only the House that can impeach the now ousted Sereno while the Senate has the power to convict or acquit Sereno. The argument also goes that Sereno cannot be removed though a quo warranto, insisting that Sereno’s ouster by the High Court is unconstitutional.

What should be recalled and recalled well and by these yellow hypocrites, is the fact that an elected President, Joseph “Erap” Estrada, was ousted by the SC on a quo warranto petition, something which the then justices knew was an unconstitutional act on their part, as there was no such removal of a President that can be had under the Davide SC-invented “constructive resignation” and all to justify their unconstitutional act against an elected President who was not impeached by the Senate.

More to the point, Estrada also filed a case against the SC justices, led by its then Chief Justice Hilario Davide who was a major coup plotter. It was he who had walked out of the Senate impeachment court instead of citing the prosecutors in contempt as he and the opposition knew that they did not have the numbers to convict Estrada.

Gloria Arroyo was installed as President by Davide and the rest of the SC justices and what do you know, Edcel Lagman and the rest of the hypocritical yellow-colored “civil society” who were then aligned with Arroyo, junked the impeachment complaint filed by Estrada and his lawyers against the justices who voted to oust Estrada through highly unconstitutional means.

So why didn’t these frigging yellow politicians fight against the SC’s clear unconstitutional removal of an elected President and through a quo warranto that questioned the right of Gloria Arroyo to sit as President, when Estrada had not resigned, had not been impeached, was not permanently incapacitated and had not died—the only constitutional conditions for the removal of a duly elected President?

It was not just Sereno who was the first high official ousted through a quo warranto case decided on by the SC and these freaking yellows in the House and the Senate certainly know this. So why do these yellows make it appear that this cannot be done by the High Court justices when they said nothing about the quo warranto case where the SC ousted Estrada?

Heck, these same congressmen who filed a complaint against the seven justices certainly know all about the SC decision of “constructive resignation” in ousting Estrada and cheered the chief betrayer of the Constitution Davide for pulling off the unconstitutional removal of Estrada.

As for the impeachment case Estrada and his lawyers filed before the House where Lagman and his yellow company, now in power and position, promptly rejected this impeachment complaint against Davide and his justices.

Then came an impeachment complaint filed by a number of congressmen against Hilario Davide who was chief justice then and guess what? These same yellows refused to impeach Davide despite the clear betrayal of public trust he committed against the Filipino people.

Worse he, who was the chief justice then, even went to the extent of being a major coup plotter together with the yellows led by Corazon Aquino and the political cardinal, Jaime Sin.

The yellows still don’t get it. The reason they still stink politically is because of their political hypocrisy.
