A barangay official was shot dead by a motorcycle-riding gunman Thursday afternoon in Manila.
The victim was identified as Julio Turla, 54, and resident of 1452 Lope de Vega Street, Sta. Cruz, Manila.
Based in police reports, Turla was the secretary of Barangay 314, Zone 31 of Manila’s Third District.
A woman and a vendor also sustained minor injuries as a result of the shooting incident which occurred about 2:14 p.m.
Investigators said the victim was sitting on a wooden bench in front of their barangay office when an unidentified motorcycle rider approached and shot him several times.
