Philippine National Police (PNP)chief Director General Oscar Albayalde confirmed on Wednesday, 22 August, that Naga City is among the top five cities with the highest volume of crime from 2017 to 2018.
At a press briefing, the PNP chief said, “Among the major cities in the country, Naga City has consistently ranked number five in terms of crime volume in the first semester of 2017 and 2018.”
This confirmation from the PNP affirms a statement of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte who called the city of Vice President Leni Robredo a “hotbed” of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu.
He made the comment after rejecting the VP as a possible successor should he step down.
According to Albayalde, Naga City placed fifth on the list of cities across the Philippines with the highest crime volume.
