The sting operation was in full swing when Villarta arrived and bought drugs from Bunuan.

A transport network vehicle service (TNVS) driver bought his day’s fix from his supplier in the middle of a buy bust operation in Quezon City on Saturday and got arrested along with the suspected pusher.

Authorities identified the arrested TNVS driver as Kevin Michael Villarta and the suspected pusher as Marvin Bunuan.

Chief Insp. Melchor Rosales, deputy commander of QC Police District Station 10, said they seized 11 sachets containing shabu and one pipe tube filled with marijuana.

He said that only Bunuan, 22, was the target of the buy bust operation.

Rosales said the sting operation was in full swing when Villarta arrived and bought drugs from Bunuan.

Bunuan denied he is engaged in pushing illegal drugs.

Villarta admitted using drugs but said he has nothing to do with the sachets of shabu found by the authorities.

Meanwhile, members of the Taguig City police accosted a man on a hunch Saturday afternoon and discovered that he was carrying shabu worth over a million pesos.

The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Ernan Aguinaldo, was arrested by a group of police officers led by Chief Insp. Bryan Torres.

The team of Torres was conducting anti-criminality operation along N.P. Cruz street when they noticed Aguinaldo who was carrying a plastic bag.

The lawmen became suspicions of his behavior and approached him to find out what he was carrying.

It turned out that the plastic bag contained 101.2 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P1.6 million. Further search on Aguinaldo yielded another sachet containing .72 grams of shabu.

He is facing drug charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2002.
