The body of slain barangay captain Virgilio Agir Masicampo Jr. HEADZ UP NEGOR
A barangay chairman in Guihulngan City in Negros Oriental was killed in an ambush last Friday making him the third village official who fell victim to a gun attack since April.
Virgilio Agir Masicampo Jr., 42, chairman of the city’s Barangay Nagsaha, was going to Barangay Magsaysay aboard a motorcycle when three unidentified attackers reportedly shot him several times near Barangay Magsaysay killing him on the spot, according to Guihulngan City Police chief Superintendent Mario Baquiran Jr.
The shooting was reported to the police around 4:55 p.m.
The body of Masicampo bore 10 gunshot wounds, including two in the head. Found in the crime scene were seven pieces of empty shells of a 45 caliber gun, 13 pieces of empty shells of a 9mm and three pieces of slugs from an unknown caliber.
