A man who shot and wounded two cops Wednesday night was killed by responding policemen at the house of one Rogelio Lagmay along Cornejo Street in Pasay City.
Shot dead was one Edgardo Samson after he fired at police reinforcement in the house where he fled to after wounding PO3 Tina Villanueva and PO1 Arman Canasares.
Villanueva and Canasares were conducting “Oplan Sita” along F. De Guzman Street in Malibay at around 9 p.m. Wednesday when they saw Samson brandishing a firearm.
The cops ordered Samson to surrender his gun but he instead fired at them.
Villanueva was hit in the shoulder and knee while Arman was shot in the hips. Wounded in the shootout was Samson’s son Vincent who, according to Villanueva, tried to grab her gun.

Samson was also wounded in the firefight but he managed to escape to a nearby community where he was cornered by responding members of the Pasay Police Community Precinct 7.
Police recovered from Samson a gun, a grenade and seven sachets of suspected shabu.
