A number of Philippine dailies (the Daily Tribune excluded) reported the “arrest” of Okada in Hong Kong allegedly for conspiring to defraud his own company, Okada Holdings Limited.
In a statement, Balisi said the aforementioned case had been dismissed last May and that the case now reportedly pending before the Independent Commission Against Corruption may be a mere rehash.
The lawyer said Okada’s detractors may just be retaliating over the two criminal cases filed by Okada and his daughter Hiromi before Hong Kong’s Commercial Crime Bureau.
The cases were against two personalities who claim to be Okada executives.
