A huge 72 percent majority expressed satisfaction with the performance of the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte which was a bit higher than the 69 percent satisfied the previous quarter, a Social Weather Stations survey released yesterday showed.
The second quarter poll done last 27 to 30 June found 13 percent dissatisfied and 15 percent undecided for a net satisfaction rating of +58 classified by SWS as very good.
SWS uses a netting scheme that deducts the dissatisfied from satisfied in its survey.
The satisfaction score for June was similar to the very good +58 (69 percent satisfied, 11 percent dissatisfied) in the March survey.
The steady rating in the SWS survey for the second quarter was the result of higher net satisfaction in Mindanao and Luzon which offset the decreases in Metro Manila and the Visayas.

The administration’s net satisfaction rating stayed excellent in Mindanao, up by four points to +76 in June from +72 in March.
The net satisfaction rating in Luzon also stayed “very good,” from +50 in March to +54 in June 2018.
In Metro Manila, the net satisfaction rating dropped from “very good” to “good,” decreasing 11 points from +58 in March to +47 in June 2018.
It also stayed “very good” in the Visayas despite dropping from +57 in March to +56 in June 2018.
In classes A, B and C, the government’s net satisfaction rating rose from “very good” to “excellent,” up by 25 points from +56 in March to +81 in June 2018.
It stayed at “very good” in class E, up by eight points from +54 in March to +62 in June 2018.
The administration’s rating also stayed at “very good” in class D despite a two-point drop from +58 in March to +56 in June 2018.
