The department will increase the issuance of certificates of landownership award, said the DAR chief.
Department of Agrarian Reform (dar) Secretary John Castriciones has vowed to distribute more land and provide faster support services to land beneficiaries.
“There is no such reason for the slow distribution of land for this year. That’s why we are streamlining procedures on land distribution to hasten the processes in acquisition and distribution of lands,” PNA quoted Castriciones as saying during the conclusion of the DAR 2018 mid-year performance review and planning conference held at the Development Academy of the Philippines in Tagaytay City Friday.
The department will increase the issuance of certificates of landownership award (CLOA), said the DAR chief.
Castriciones also ordered Municipal Agrarian Reform Provincial Officers to look for CLOA and non-CLOA holders in far-flung barangays, to visit them and encourage them to become members of agrarian reform beneficiaries’ organizations (ARBO).

“The fastest and easiest way for farmers to get support services and assistance, is if they are members of ARBOs,” Castriciones said, according to PNA.
To date, there are a total 5,451 ARBOs nationwide of which 4,923 or 90.3 percent are operational.
