Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Carlito Galvez Jr. was welcomed by commanders, civilians and employees as he visited the Western Command (WESCOM) for the first time on 21 July.
Lt. Gen. Rozzano Briguez, Commander of WESCOM troops, got a chance to talk with Galvez regarding concerns on morale and discipline.
WESCOM also updated Galvez on updates and concerns on operations on Territorial Defense, Internal Security, Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Response and support to national development and law enforcement in the province of Palawan and in the West Philippine Sea.
Galvez presented awards to WESCOM for attaining the Compliant Stage Status of its Transformation Roadmap, and to its outstanding personnel for serving the people of Palawan with utmost dedication and achievement.
“His presence and the inspiration and guidance he has provided for WESCOM shall always be treasured and displayed by our personnel in the way we perform our duties,” Briguez said.
