Two people were arrested while 22, including five minors, were rescued after police raided a spa allegedly offering “extra service” in Quezon City Wednesday evening.
Members of the Philippine National Police-Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC) led the raid of the spa after they received a complaint that there were minors who were giving so-called extra service at the said establishment.
An entrapment operation was launched with undercover police giving payment to a pimp for four masseuse of the spa. The raid followed with several masseuse and customers seen without any clothes on.
Based on initial investigation of the case, police learned that the spa customers are often males and that the SPA was being used as a front for their “extra service.”
“Minors were offered as masseuse but they don’t know how to massage and they offer a different service,” said Chief Supt. William Macavinta, director of the PNP-WCPC.

The PNP-WCPC first got a tip on the spa from the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking and Commission on Filipino Overseas, according to Macavinta.
The Council also reported to the PNP-WCPC that there were several students who are moonlighting as masseuse at the spa to earn a living for their schooling.
“It is a massage spa but the masseuse deliberately provokes the customer to make them ask for extra service,” said Macavinta.
“The fee for regular massage is P500, but for the extra service it depends. When the masseuse given to you is a minor, the fee can be P3,500,” he added.
The suspected spa manager denied the accusations.
“The money was just handed to me. I am just a client here,” he said.
