Young lawyer Jesus Nicardo Falcis III’s shot at judicial stardom could be in peril because of his fashion sense which had apparently insulted justices of the Supreme Court.

Falcis, who is handling the controversial petition to legalize same-sex marriage, came to the June 19 preliminary conference in cropped jeans, jacket and loafers without socks. The outfit not only went against the old-fashioned justices’ taste for clothes, but also the conservative courtroom dress code.

Falcis’ conduct even elicited an SC resolution citing him in contempt and ordering the incident to be put on his professional record with the Office of the Bar Confidant.

With his ‘’outrageous’’ costume drawing more attention than his “landmark” petition, Falcis may well end up as the LGBT community’s fashionista consultant if he loses the case.
